Botanical Name:  Rosmarinus Officinalis

Important Information:  Rosemary is an evergreen shrub which grows up to 1.5 meters tall with needle like grey-green leaves & pale blue/lilac flowers originates from Asia but is now cultivated in France, Spain, Tunisia & Serbia. The name is derived from the Latin 'Rosmarinus' because it has a weak spot for water. The Egyptians, Hebrews, Greeks & Romans considered it to be a sacred plant & during the middle ages the plant was used to keep away evil spirits & as protection against the plague.

Active Ingredients: Often found in Rosemary oil are a-pinene, borneol, b-pinene, camphor, bornyl acetate, camphene, 1,8-cineole & limonene. Spanish Rosemary has a strong, clean, camphorated herbaceous scent. It is thought to be good in treating acne, blemishes or for dull, dry skin. Rosemary is also used to tone the nervous system & to help regulate blood pressure.

Mixes well with: The oils of Citronella, Lavender, Peppermint, Basil & Orange.
